This recently completed bathroom renovation project in a Southbank apartment focused on achieving a clean, refined, and highly functional result, well-suited to contemporary inner-city living. The space was originally a standard rectangular bathroom without a bath, providing the opportunity to make the most of the available layout. The renovation scope included a full upgrade of all surfaces, fixtures, and fittings, with attention to quality and practicality throughout.
At the heart of this apartment renovation is the newly built shower cabin, which features a durable floor made from large marble-look tiles. These tiles, with their natural stone texture and grey tones, create a solid and elegant base. Matching large format marble-look tiles were installed on the walls of both the shower and the rest of the bathroom, contributing to a cohesive and timeless finish.
A 900mm floating vanity was selected, topped with a marble-look slab and integrated basin. The clean lines and sturdy materials ensure both aesthetic appeal and everyday durability. Above the vanity, a wall-mounted cabinet with three mirrored doors offers generous storage without interrupting the visual flow of the room. This design not only maximises function but also adds a touch of modern simplicity.
The lighting design includes modern down lights that provide bright, even illumination throughout the space. These fittings blend seamlessly into the ceiling, maintaining the minimalist style of the renovation while ensuring the bathroom is well-lit and comfortable to use at any time of day. All tapware and fittings, including shower fixtures and vanity hardware, were selected in a brushed metal finish, delivering a cohesive and sophisticated look that will stand the test of time.
